WOMAN ON FIRE was written as part of the ‘vote 100’ celebrations this year of when ‘some’ Women first won the right to vote in the UK – a landmark in women’s rights. This show is a great way to celebrate women from history and our Foremothers tenacity. It is the company’s first visit to Durham.

WOMAN ON FIRE will be at – The Assembly Rooms Theatre, 40 North Bailey, Durham for two performances

Saturday 28th July 7:30pm

Sunday 29th July 7.30pm

Woman On Fire is an explosive one woman show that takes its audience into the fiery times of the UK suffrage movement through the life and times of one unsung suffragette – Edith Rigby. Edith is from Lancashire but her story takes us across the UK – Preston, Manchester – London and Glasgow. It explores the wider story of our fight to win the right to vote. Edith was friends with and protested with the Pankhursts and Annie Kenney. She also fought for better working conditions for girls and women. Tickets
